The same stealth strategies used to fool the flathead catfish (below) were used for this big garfish 6/15/11.

F.L.E.X. Fishing (R) founder Chester Moore with the biggest redfish of his life caught testing the system near Venice, La. The fish was caught using a very specific soft plastic lure/popping cork technique that has yielded numerous big reds and speckled trout in recent years. The fish was weighed more than 40 pounds and was caught in three feet of water using 20-pound Power Pro Braid. Caught 4/21/11.

F.L.E.X. Fishing (R) founder Chester Moore caught this big, hard-fighting flathead catfish using a Black Salty Baitfish fished under a clear plastic float 6/09/11.

L-R: Chris Houghton submitted this photo of an 11.5-inch bream he caught after reading the F.L.E.X. Fishing (R) manual. Catching lots of small ones he upgraded to a customized soft plastic too big for the small bream to hit and caught this huge specimen. The author with an eight pound bass caught utilizing the "finesse" side of the system to be debuted in a new publication coming fall 2011.

The author is passionate about pursuing big crappie. Here he is with two huge whites on Sam Rayburn caught using F.L.E.X. Fishing (TM) tactics.

L-R: One of the first inspirations for F.L.E.X. was Chester Moore realizing he was taking a systematic approach to catching really big redfish. Here ChaChee Sullivan shows off a monster redfish caught using F.L.E.X. principles. The author caught this seven-pound bass his largest (up to this point) caught in over a decade as the initial F.L.E.X. test. This was before the whole concept came together. On the first trip after officially formulating F.L.E.X. he caught another this size.

L-R: Cynthia Carlos used F.L.E.X. to catch her second bass ever, this monster fish caught July 2010.
Chester Moore proves really big bait will eliminate small fish. During a F.L.E.X. field test he caught this huge bass using a 9-inch long live mullet for bait.

L-R: F.L.E.X. Founder Chester Moore checks out a huge white crappie caught on Toledo Bend during F.L.E.X. testing. His cousin Frank Moore releases a 23.5-inch flounder caught using F.L.E.X. principles.

This big flounder was one of the first fish caught during F.L.E.X. testing.

The last fish of the initial F.L.E.X. testing was this huge trout caught on Lake Calcasieu in Southwestern Louisiana. Catching this fish was textbook F.L.E.X. Fishing (R) from the research to the location to the bait to the gear.

L to R:  Louisiana's Lake Calcasieu holds some of the biggest inland redfish in the country. The author used spinnerbaits to catch these in Oct. 2010. Flounder are the Chester Moore's favorite species to pursue. Here he is with a nice one caught on a pink curl-tailed grub tipped with shrimp fished near deepwater access in the Sabine-Neches Waterway.
